The new term is here! This month we’ll be serving you up a fresh batch of fun facts everyone should know to learn more about where our food comes from.
This week, we’ve kicked off lessons in Farmlogy on our social media. To help everyone get closer to how our food is made, we’re inviting you to Ask the Producer anything you like by posting a comment over on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and our farmers and foodmakers will give you a personal reply via video. Send us your questions for:
- Bridget at BreadBread, the baker behind the dough at the successful pizza restaurant Franco Manca.
- Kate at GrowUp Urban Farms, co-founder of the UK’s first commercial scale aquaponic urban farm, producing sustainable fresh fish, salads and herbs.
- Matteo at La Tua Pasta, the pasta master and one of a fifty-strong crew who cook everything from scratch to create over 200 varieties of pasta.
- Kylee at Newton & Pott, Hackney-based jam, chuntey and pickle-maker and modern preserver extraordinaire.
Keep your eyes peeled for daily lessons in #farmology and for a chance to win a money-can’t-buy experience.
We’ve got brand new lunchbox bundles (coming soon) to whet your appetite and bring back memories of old-school sarnies, (but this time round, say hello to sourdough).
To get into the full swing of ‘back-to-school’, in our brand new quiz we’re putting your food knowledge to the test! See just how much you know about how our food is made by taking part in our big fat food quiz. Simply head to www.farmdrop.co.uk/bigfatfoodquiz and let the gold stars roll in.
