Organic September is upon us, and team Farmdrop are looking for ways to shop, cook an eat more organic food throughout the month and beyond.
To help inspire you to do the same, our friends at Biona Organic have kindly shared two of their favourite recipes for autumn. The purveyors of canned and dried organic cupboard staples are committed to sustainable farming methods, 100% traceability and working with farmers who don’t use chemical pesticides or herbicides on crops.
First up is their healthy spin on Nachos. This time, the Biona kitchen subs in organic sweet potato as the ‘chips’. Atop these morsels of crispy sweet potato is their Organic Black Beans, a colourful salsa and creamy avocado.
Next, is a mid-week favourite: Organic Roasted Cauliflower Curry. Not only fantastic for lunch leftovers the next day, this curry is also vegan. Using Biona’s Organic Basmati White Rice, Organic Chopped Tomatoes and Coconut Milk – it’s a meal that’s rich in flavour and filling too!
This recipe is Biona Organic’s healthy take on crowd pleasing nachos! Featuring roast sweet potato slices and crumbled tortilla chips with organic Biona black beans and all the topping you’d expect – creamy avocado, salsa, indulgent melted cheese and tangy pickled onions. Make this into a vegan feast by using vegan cheddar style grated and oat fraiche.
Biona Organic’s roasted cauliflower curry recipe is packed with inviting, aromatic spices and a thick, creamy sauce. Top with flaked almonds, crushed chilli, coriander and a squeeze of lemon for a diverse assortment of flavours.
