The sun is out and we want to make the most of it but where can you eat out in London that has a killer menu and sustainable credentials to show for it? We couldn’t wait for Silo, our favourite zero-waste restaurant, to move from Bristol to Hackney later this year so we’re rounding up the best, most sustainable places to brunch, lunch, wine and dine in East London right now.
Whether you’re hankering after truly ethical sushi, a locally-sourced brekkie in the sun or a dinner menu with a difference, here’s our East London summer eating guide to help you out.

Eggs beautiful eggs! New on our breakfast menu this week – a few fried eggs with peas, broad beans, @kuprosdairy London Fettle cheese (add it if you like, we thoroughly recommend you do!), mint and lots of other summer herbs, Turkish za’atar with sumac, nigella seeds and strained yoghurt, some soda bread on the side 🙂 I think peas and broad beans are some of my favourite summer ingredients so do hope you all enjoy this. The spinach soufflé omelette and pancakes are still here, served with seasonal compote, apricot and strawberry this week; just have boiled or scrambled eggs if you like, and all our bowls of grains and seasonal fruits are still on too, yum! See you soon for 🍳 or 🥞 or 🍓 or other and lots of 🌈☀️🌸! #Eggs #Breakfast
