Ingredients

Gather together your favourite fruits. For our kebabs we used:

Apples
Raspberries
Blueberries
Bananas
Strawberries
Melon
Black Grapes
Apricots

Kebab sticks or wooden coffee stirrers – these are a good alternative if you’d like to avoid the sharp points of kebab sticks.

Method

  • Wash the berries, apples, grapes and apricots and then leave to dry.
  • Cut the apples into 8 pieces lengthways and cut in half across the width of these pieces.
  • Peel the banana and slice into 1cm rounds.
  • Remove the skin from the melon and cut into cubes, (if you have a melon baller, try using it!)
  • Remove the stalks from the strawberries.
  • Slice the apricots in half lengthways and remove the stone. Slice each half in half again.
  • Cut the apples into 8 pieces lengthways and cut in half across the width of these pieces.
  • Once you’ve prepared all your fruit pieces, have fun and just slide them straight onto the sticks!
  • Eat and enjoy immediately, on its own, or with yoghurt. If taking on a trip, pop in a tupperware and carry in a cool bag.
