Hand Picked Shellfish have been great supporters of Farmdrop from early on. Matthew and Steve set up Hand Picked Shellfish in 2001 after spending the previous 3 years scallop diving together. They had the then radical idea of providing sustainably caught fish direct to the public.
Hand Picked Shellfish catch quality shellfish, and wet fish from their day boats. They dive for shellfish and use sustainable methods to catch wet fish.
Now, years later they run Quiddles a small Seafood Cafe in Portland, Dorset as well as continuing to sell their fish at Farmers’ Markets in Queens Park and Tufnell Park. They are one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Heroes’ – and one of ours too!
