These foolproof Christmas biscuits are great to make with kids - they will make a lovely homemade gift or snack for hungry visiting relatives. You can use whatever seasonal cookie cutter you like. We like to make angel shaped biscuits, dusted in icing sugar snow.

Here's how you do it
Preheat the oven to 190°C. In a food processor, blitz together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, spices, clementine zest and butter to form a breadcrumb texture.
Next add the egg and pulse until the mixture comes together to form a dough.
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface in a 1cm thick sheet. Carefully cut out angel shapes using your cookie cutter ande place on a lined baking tray.
Pop in the oven for 8-10 minutes until cooked and starting to turn golden. Remove from the oven then, using a sieve, dust with the icing sugar.
