30 Minute Fish Pie

This simple take on the well-loved classic is fantastically quick and easy, it really is just a case of mixing together and chucking in the oven. It's also a great way of using up stale bits of bread for the topping.

Here's how you do it

  1. Preheat the oven to 200℃.
  2. Mix the fish, mustard, parsley, dill, creme fraiche, lemon zest and juice together in a pie dish. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sprinkle over the breadcrumbs and bake in the oven for 25 minutes, until the breadcrumbs are crispy and the fish is cooked through.


  • 450g fish pie mix
  • 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
  • 5g dill, chopped
  • 5g parsley, chopped
  • 400g creme fraiche
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 200g breadcrumbs
  • salt and pepper
