Spiced Lamb Meatballs with Orzo

A wholesome one-pot dinner with creamy orzo and delicately spiced lamb meatballs, all baked together for ease.

Here's how you do it

  1. Preheat the oven to 200℃.Mix together the lamb mince, oregano, chilli flakes, garlic, salt, cumin and cinnamon.
  2. Roll the lamb into balls the size of walnuts.
  3. Heat a glug of olive oil in a casserole, then fry the meatballs until browned. Pour out most of the melted fat.
  4. Add the orzo and the hot chicken stock to the casserole, give it a good stir, then put the lid on and bake for 20-25 minutes, until the orzo is tender and the lamb is cooked through.
  5. Stir the lemon juice into the orzo and leave to stand for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the mint and pine nuts on top, then serve.


  • 350g lamb mince
  • 200g orzo
  • 5g fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 organic garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 organic lemon, juiced
  • 5g organic mint leaves
  • 10g pine nuts
