In 1822, Eugène Popelin founded A L’Olivier in Paris to offer quality Provencal oils to the capital’s inhabitants. All year round we continue to scour the Mediterranean basin, finding the best vintages to offer to our clients. Our committee of expert tasters ensure that our source materials are of impeccable organoleptic quality. Traceability, purity and freshness has become a defining feature of the A L’Olivier name. Today, the mill at Poitou makes virgin nut and seed oils from locally sourced goods, some of which are produced using organic methods. Sauces and other specialities are made in our workshops in Provence. Inspired by the ago-old process of food preservation, our recipe remains a well guarded secret. It’s based upon a method of capturing flavours from fresh plants. The alchemy is natural, and without adding any additional flavour, it’s this process that still makes us stand out. While cooking, our aromatic olive oils provide constant stimulation for the food lover’s imagination.
