In 2006 Richard and Fionagh Harding left their jobs as fund managers in London and moved to Cornwall in pursuit of a more peaceful life spent with their 4 young children. All plans of a small patch of land and a couple of hens flew out the window when they fell in love with Norton Barton, a 350-acre farm on the north Cornish coast. Their first order of business was to return the farm to a more natural state, quickly moving the land to an organic way of running and selecting rare breeds which were native to the area. Though this was a labour of passion they realised pretty quickly that they would need to do something drastic in order to keep the farm profitable enough to remain operational so started attending farmers markets selling joints of meat from their animals and handmade sausages. By 2011 they had migrated to soft charcuterie products and thus was born Cornish Charcuterie. Over the years the company has grown into an award winning and respected supplier of both hard and soft charcuterie sold nationwide.
