Lara Sturrock and Davidson Forster started the Artisan Gluten Free Bakery a couple of years ago from a shop on Upper Street in Islington. Their mission is to produce great quality artisan gluten free bread and baked goods that have impeccable taste credentials and are accessible to everyone - and they haven’t looked back. With their team of artisan bakers, they produce daily, by hand, a beautiful range of gluten free loaves, crusty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and it’s all made with store cupboard ingredients and no preservatives. They’ve created the perfect conditions to ensure consistency and quality of the products – it tastes, looks and behaves like real bread and customers love it.
The bread is made on their own premises in a completely non contaminated environment. They do all the testing and checking so you don’t have to. Their commitment to gluten free transcends every part of the business. This includes having the appropriate certification from suppliers, lab testing the bread and ensuring the team clearly understand the processes needed to maintain the environment for gluten free.
The team are passionate about their bread and proud to be able to guarantee that their products are certified gluten free and totally coeliac friendly.
