When, in 1975, Christina’s parents inherited 19 olive trees near the beautiful town of Filiatra in the Messenia region of Greece, they were in-spired to cultivate a legacy, and planted the groves that today produce Christina’s oil. A combination of exceptional soil quality and a unique microclimate is supported by Liá’s dedication to traditional and un-intrusive ag¬ricultural methods, and they have produced an oil with wonderful finesse and character. Olives are still picked by hand, after which they are transported to the press in linen bags, to ensure that they stay in optimum condition. The packaging design is inspired by a traditional olive press, and this, com¬bined with its modern, sleek bottle, speaks of both Liá’s connection with its past and its commitment to future innovation in Greek olive oil.
