Maryland Farmhouse butter is churned by Barbers in Somerset to the traditional recipe since they started making butter in the 1800s.
Special traditional cultures used in the Dairy provide this Farmhouse Butter its own unique and distinctive flavour making it very different from the commodity products made in many factories today. It is still produced on the farm from the cream of the fresh milk collected daily. Only salt is then added to complement the natural flavours and to help preserve it longer. The result is a butter full of the interest and character that keeps Maryland Farmhouse Butter as popular today as it has ever been.
