These berries have an almost tropical taste on first bite, but with a tart, dry finish. The seed has some bite but worth eating the whole fruit as it is packed full of nutrients.
These berries are packed with vitamin C - 6 times that of oranges. They also contain vitamin B2, E and potassium making them a real superfood. The flavour is very intense so a little goes a long way. These berries can be used to make jams and jellies for serving with game, cold meats and cheeses. They are also good with granola, muesli, porridge. Sea buckthorn come fresh on the branch so we pack 50g not 40g to allow for the branch weight
