All turkeys delivered between 16th and 24th December will have a best before date of 26th December. This item is prepared on demand and cannot be changed or cancelled after 15th November. Proper old-fashioned turkeys, these bronze turkeys are reared on the Goodman's Farm in Worcestershire, slaughtered on site and dry-plucked. They’re then hung for 10 days for depth of flavour. The turkeys have a decent fat cover, which renders during cooking to make for a really succulent roast.
Each turkey comes boxed with the giblets and garnished with herbs ready for the oven. Please note when buying your bird that the total weight always includes the giblets
We recommend 2 portions per kg. All our free range poultry is naturally reared. Weights are not absolutely precise
The turkeys arrive at Walsgrove Farm as day old chicks in late June and are reared inside until they are 6 weeks old when they are let outside into grass fields during the day and then shut up in their cosy barn every night. The Turkeys are fed a specially prepared natural ration so that they grow slowly to help produce an excellent flavour
We are very proud that all the turkeys are slaughtered and prepared on the farm. They are dry plucked and then game hung up to 10 days in the cold rooms to help the meat intensify in flavour. They are then eviscerated and boxed with the giblets and garnished with herbs ready for the oven.
