Organic Eggs (Mixed)
We keep our hens in mobile houses which are easy to rotate and move around the farm. This allows us to regularly move the hens onto fresh pasture. This ensures that all our hens have access to a wide variety of forage in the form of plants and insects – keeping our hens very happy and healthy and producing exceptional quality eggs.
The hens are an integral part of our organic holistic farming practice. We believe that by putting our hens needs first and ensuring the highest standards of welfare, they in return produce the best quality eggs and fertilise the land.
All our eggs are organically farmed to Soil Association standards and packed on the farm. The eggs are graded by weight into medium, large or extra large then sold directly to the consumer within days of being laid.
The hen houses house between 75 and 250 hens. The houses are bedded down daily with quality straw and mucked out regularly. We open them up early so the hens can make the most of the daylight and securely close them away at dusk to ensure their safety. The hens roam freely on pasture that is fenced with electric wire to protect them from prowling foxes.
Best to keep these eggs cool (around 10°C). If you refrigerate allow 30mins before you use them
Minimum 12 days

Since taking over the farm in 2014, owners Harry, Emily and their team have been developing vegetable, soft fruit and herb gardens. A 66-acre mixed organic farm set in the breathtaking rolling hills of East Devon, Haye Farm is tucked away behind the village of Musbury – a wonderful setting easily accessible to the nearby Jurassic coast. The aspiration of Haye Farm is to create sustainable food systems, which support high levels of productivity whilst encouraging an increase in biodiversity and wildlife. Rather than viewing each individual element on the farm as a single entity we view them in terms of the role they play in the wider system where each elements’ externalities support all other elements. Our systems are rotational, everything is continually moving, our moveable chicken coops are always on the move. This improves soil fertility, ensuring crop productivity whilst maintaining healthy plant and animal welfare. It also eliminates the buildup of disease, parasites, pests, nitrates and other negative impacts on the land and environment. The long-term ambition of the farm is to create a fully integrated system, which is not reliant on any external inputs. Through embracing these practices, we aim to produce the highest quality produce in terms of taste, nutritional value and animal welfare.Find out more
