Meet Mash Purveyors

London

For over 150 years, the Mash family have hand-selected the finest quality fruits and vegetables for the most prestigious professional kitchens. The first known records of the family working in fruit and veg date back to 1800, and through the following decades they have continued to grow their business by buying farm land to grow their own produce. Fast forward to 1936, the year they joined New Covent Garden Market and where they were based right up until 2014. Mash are committed to reducing food waste through donations to the food waste charity, the Felix Project, an organisation collecting food waste from local businesses and redistributing to charities across London. Vegetable trimmings from prepared veg and juice pulp is used for animal feed at The Ledbury’s deer park at Aynhoe Park in Oxfordshire. The next phase is the installation of an on-site composter, with compost to be used by our growers to produce delicious veg that will eventually come back to us here at Mash, as well as supplying local community gardens, and starting some growing on site here for the Mash team.
