Mole End Farm says
The comice pear is a round fruit, and one of the sweetest varieties. (Class 2 - this means they may be vary in size, shape & colour - but still taste great!)
Storage Information
To ripen pears, store them at room temperature for 2-3 days. Since these fruits become more fragile as they ripen, try to store them loosely in a bowl or on a plate. When ripe, most pears will give slightly when pressed gently near the stem. Once a pear hits its peak ripeness, transfer it to the fridge and eat within a few days.

Meet Mole End Farm
Kent, UK
It all began when Paul Ward and Sara Rowan purchased their home in the early nineties in Kent, which included four and half acres of mature (but neglected) conference pears as well as wildflower meadows. The growing bug soon caught on and they bought an existing top fruit farm in nearby Cranbrook which they converted to organic standards. In the past two decades or so, Mole End has become one of the UK's most respected organic top fruit growers. The accolades have continued with Mole End taking home a number of prizes at the National Fruit Show in recent years, including 'tastiest apple' in show in 2016 for their Reubinstep variety (sold in the UK under the name Blaze) - this was the first time in the shows' history that this prize went to an organically grown apple. Mole End Farm have remained consistent to their aim to build a truly ethical and sustainable long-term business, producing high quality food in a sustainable manner with the absolute minimum impact on the surrounding environment. In doing so, they maintain the farm's natural environment, enhancing wildlife biodiversity.
