The Boucher family have been farming near Faversham in Kent for over 70 years. These days, backed by a great team, grower Hugh Boucher runs the thriving fruit farm focusing on quality, sustainability and stewardship. Newlands Farm produces a wide range of apple varieties, strawberries, pears and blackcurrants that keep the team busy nearly all year round. The farm is accredited to many respected quality standards including Linking Environment and Farming (LEAF). Through their biodiversity projects across the farm Hugh and Fiona manage hedges windbreaks, and headland to encourage a range of wildlife and plant life to keep the farm in balance. Newlands works with charities such as The Gleaning Project and The Fareshare network which distributes fruit to people affected by food poverty around the UK. Tom, Hugh and Fiona's eldest son was previously a member of the Farmdrop team, before moving back to Kent to be more involved in the family farm.Find out more
