Cooking Instructions

The simplest way to cook your whole mackerel is to pan fry it. Mince a clove of garlic with the back of a fork and a little salt on a chopping board, rub all over your mackerel, then roll in a beaten egg and plain flour. Add a knob of Brinkworth Dairy butter to a frying pan and heat, once hot add the mackerel to the pan and heat on each side for 4-5 minutes. Serve immediately with a wedge of lemon.
