Oysters with Chilli Ginger Dressing



Add some zing to freshly shucked oysters with a tangy Asian inspired dressing, fresh ginger chilli and spring onion. An elegant canapé for entertaining.

Here’s how you do it

  1. Slice the green part of the spring onion into long thin strips , place in a bowl of iced water to curl up.
  2. Finely chop peeled the ginger and chilli, mix.
  3. Mix the tamari, lime juice, sesame oil and rice vinegar in a small bowl.
  4. Top the shucked oysters with little of the chilli ginger mix and a drizzle of the dressing.
  5. Garnish with the curled spring onion and serve.


  • 6 shucked oysters
  • ⅓ chopped red chilli
  • ½ tsp chopped ginger
  • 1 spring onion - green only


  • ½ tsp tamari*
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar*
  • ½ tsp sesame oil*
  • ½ tsp lime juice
