The leaves have the juicy crunch of spring onions with a much milder taste, making them a great addition to salads. The flowers are the mildest tasting part of the plant; fresh and green, just like cucumber with a very slight hint of garlic and onion. Why Three cornered? Snap off a flower or leaf stem, you will see it has grown in a triangle.
The taste of this delightful foraged plant is somewhere between leek, garlic and cucumber. Both leaves and flowers can be used in much the same way as you would wild garlic and spring onions - in addition to adding a beautiful aesthetic. Only available for around 6 weeks a year make sure you buy it quick!
Refrigerate and wash before use. Best used as quickly as possible.
